Rooted Perspectives: Tranquil Design in the Aquatic and Monocot Gardens
Neatly trimmed hedges and symmetrical pergolas provide a framework for grasses, tropical plants and exotic water lilies in the Aquatic and Monocot Gardens. Wave Hill gardener Christopher Bivens explores how the gardens’ design elements, including water and simplistic geometry, conjure an intimate and transformative space. For the first time, people will be able to experience this reflective environment remotely. In offering this event we gratefully acknowledge the support of the Institute of Museum and Library Services and a CARES ACT grant.
